Six months!!!!!!

 Six months ago today I saw you for the first time.   After many years of waiting, and hoping, and praying.   There you were, absolutely terrified, big tears rolling down your cheeks, after a long train ride from the orphanage in your birth city dressed in many layers of thick clothing.   Completely terrified, and then in just a few hours, a sense of knowing, you knew love, you could feel it.  Jesus was with us, helping me hold you, helping me to comfort you.  Fierce love, different than any I had ever felt before, that I had for you sweet girl.

 What a journey it has been.   Hardest thing we have ever done I think, but also the most amazing and beautiful picture emerging, a picture of redemption, of beauty for ashes, and joy for pain.

Faithie-lou, I am completely head over heels in love with you.   You are the most courageous, amazing, most resilient, funny, beautiful, soft skinned, intelligent little monkey I know, and I am bananas over you and always will be.      Happy Anniversary Faithie,  thank you for teaching me so much, thank you for loving me, thank you for being you.
